With some big changes coming to St. Mary's,
Brother Craig Franz will be innaugurated as the President of the university. Brother Craig comes to St. Mary's from
Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, where he served as president since 1997. He has chosen the theme of "Graced by the Past, Embracing the Future" for his intent at SMU, emphasising the correlation between St. Mary's rich past and promising future.
His innauguration is scheduled for Friday, September 30th, which coincides with
SMU's family weekend. Many events are scheduled for the weekend, including a Jazz concert presented by the SMU Music Department and a Fall Frolic fun run/walk through the bluffs. If you have any questions or for information, contact Char Tjaden, 507-457-1614. Sure to be a great weekend!
